About Me!

My name is AnneMarie, and I am so glad that you found my corner of the internet. Hopefully, you will be rejuvenated, energized, and inspired by the thoughts and discussions that you find on this blog.

I am an old-fashioned, book-loving, somewhat hippy-ish, quirky young woman, and I enjoy discussing life and sharing my adventures with all of you! Random thoughts and observations make me very happy, so naturally, many of those wind up here. In the spirit of randomness, I think it is fitting to fill you in on a selection of random aspects about me.
I think that a picture with an adorable baby duck
is a good way to begin.
I love having epic adventures.
I believe that we all have the capacity for epic things, because we were all made by an incredible, infinite, all-powerful God! And God desires to use us for epic works, to do marvelous things in and through us. We all must try to make ourselves fully open and available to God's will. And my oh my, that's when the craziness begins.

I passionately love God's sacrifice and mercy.
Oh...don't get me started. I love the passionate suffering and sacrifice of Christ. I love the Faith, I love connecting with people of different faith traditions, and I love learning more about the depth and rich beauty in the Catholic Church. The Easter Triduum is my favorite liturgical season, closely followed by Lent. God's mercy and sacrificial love and the gift of Himself in the Eucharist is just so epic! I love it.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is awesome!
I love Mary, and I love it when people consecrate themselves to Jesus through Mary--total Consecration is awesome. Giving Mary your whole self and all your possessions, for her to take to God, is epic, and will definitely change your life.

I am head over heels in love with my amazing husband. And I am a big-time supporter of young marriages.
I met my husband when we were freshman at Franciscan University of Steubenville, a Catholic college in Ohio. The first week of our sophomore year, he proposed, and our 11-month engagement began. Being married college students for our last two years at Franciscan University was an incredible experience, and I love learning more and more about loving my husband each day. Marriage is so peaceful, a huge blessing, and incredibly sacrificial!

I love ninjas.
Specifically, Catholic ninjas. And yes, I firmly believe that God wants us all to be His ninjas.  Also, I love Batman, who is a ninja in his own right. Sometimes, I'll wear gray leggings with a short black skirt and pretend that I'm the 1960s Batman. #truth

I don't watch many TV shows, but when I do, Dr. Who is where it's at.
The summer before my senior year of college, I watched Series 1-7 of the DW reboot, and fell in love with it. I love integrating my Catholic faith and heritage with the show! I also love knitting and crocheting items related to Dr. Who

In short, I strive to be a Marian Ninja, offering myself to God, my husband, and others as a Sacrifice of Love daily! To God be the Glory!

    1. Thanks for the question! Years ago, some of my friends started getting on the blogging kick as a way to share bits of their life and reflections with others. I thought I may start eventually, because it seemed like a cool concept. When I actually started this blog, it was at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and I was pretty much a blank slate-I had no idea what direction God wanted to take things! Over time, I've found that the purpose behind this blog really is to share a bit of my unique experiences and reflections on living as a Catholic in today's world, and to find joy and truth in the little moments that God sends my way.
